THE A.F.O.P. French Manufacturers Association in Optics and Photonics
has for objective to bring together optics and photonics professionals
and promote joint activities.

Missions :
To represent the industry throughout France and abroad
To promote the industry's interests
To carry out concerted actions on behalf of the industry
To defend the industry's interests with regard to the State Authorities
To offer manufacturers a combined range of services.

AFOP is also joins forces with the French Optical Society (S.F.O.) to further promote its activities within industry.

Partnership with QUEBEC

The AFOP signed on october 24 october 2001 a protocole of collaboration with QUEBEC -Optics City - to promote the development of bilateral exchanges and informations between the members and Canadian photonics firms & research laboratories.

In order to respond to the diverse needs of member companies, A.F.O.P. has constituted working groups chaired by manufacturers, specialists and members from universities, assisted by permanent AFOP's representatives.
